Products I Finished – September 2018

September 2018 was a month where I put away my tanning lotion and brought out the pumpkin cupcake hand cream. I also finished up a small portion of beauty products and am here to share the reviews with you. As always, please consult with a dermatologist such as The Devonshire Clinic first, just to make sure that you are using the right products for your skin.

Products I Finished – September 2018

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser

Before experiencing adult acne, I used the Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser until my dermatologist mentioned that it was full of irritants. They recommend this La Roche-Posay cleanser instead because it’s non-foaming, surfactant-free, preservative-free, and paraben-free. It’s also an outstanding second cleanser if you are into double cleansing too because it’s so gentle and moisturizing.

Re-Purchase? YES. (c$29 – 400ml Value Size)

The Ordinary 2% Hyaluronic Acid + B5 (First Review)

This is my favourite inexpensive hyaluronic acid serum. I use one dropper of product twice a day and I go through one bottle a month.

Re-Purchase? YES. (c$6.80 – 30ml)

Eucerin Intensive Lip Balm

This is essentially Eucerin Aquaphor Healing Ointment in a lip balm tube with a thinner consistency. It is glossy, moisturizing, and a little messy.

Re-Purchase? NO. (c$6.39 – 10ml)

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Levres Barrier Repairing Balm

This product was previously called Ceralip Lip Repair Cream and recommended by my dermatologist. Similar to the Eucerin, it is glossy, messy, and moisturizing. Although, the La Roche-Posay balm does have a waxier consistency and 5% panthenol in its ingredients. Which gives it the ability to heal your chapped lips while protecting them.

Re-Purchase? NO. (c$9.99 – 7.5ml)

Chloé Eau de Parfum

A classic perfume that is floral and feminine with notes of peony, rose, honey, and cedar wood. I enjoyed the sample, however, I believe the scent was too light for me to be interested in purchasing it.

Purchase? NO. (c$122 – 50ml Full Size)

Listerine Zero Mild Mint Antiseptic Mouthwash (First Review)

I received this sample from my dentist because it is their number one recommendation for mouthwash.

Purchase? YES. (c$5.77 – 1l Full Size)

Miu Miu Eau de Parfum

A fresh perfume that is floral and colourful with notes of lily of the valley. Similar to the Chloé, I enjoyed the sample but have no intention of purchasing it.

Purchase? NO. (c$105 – 50ml Full Size)

Listerine Zero Mild Mint Antiseptic Mouthwash (First Review)

This is the brand name alcohol-free light blue mouthwash my dentist recommends. It’s a standard mouthwash and I know that if I dislike others I try, I can always go back to this one.

Re-Purchase? MAYBE. (c$5.77 – 1l)

OGX Nourishing + Coconut Milk Conditioner (First Review)

I love the feeling and smell of this conditioner and will probably use it again in the future. I do though have a couple of hair conditioner samples to finish first.

Re-Purchase? MAYBE. (c$8.47 – 385ml)

Systane Lid Wipes Eyelid Cleansing Wipes

In August, I mentioned my eye condition and need for eyelid wipes. These are brand name ones that I use twice a day and cut in half. Since they are expensive and I go through two boxes a month, I am still open to looking for other alternatives.

Re-Purchase? YES. (c$9.97 – 32 Wipes)

Thank you so much for reading this addition to the series. See you next month with more mini product reviews.

I love OGX! They have a coconut shampoo and conditioner for curls that smells amazing! Also, they have a hairspray that comes in a gold-orange bottle… best hairspray ever!

Thank you Logan for commenting and reading my post. I love OGX shampoo and conditioner sets too. I find that they have the best drugstore haircare on the market. I’ll have to try that dry shampoo.
