Question of The Week – Vol. 8

Throughout March 2017, I will be asking questions about luck and superstitions. I am asking for answers from all my readers whether you believe in magic or symbols of prosperity. This week’s question is inspired by luck and the upcoming holiday of St. Patrick’s Day. Out of curiosity, I am interested to see the answers to this question because usually people have really personal reasons to why they wear or have lucky symbols.

Do you have or wear anything to attract luck in your life?

I have a charm bracelet! It’s a rose quartz bracelet, with a lot of different charms. I went for rose quartz partially because of its muted pink color, and the meaning is great. It’s supposed to soothe/calm your emotions, and although most people think it promotes romantic love, it just promotes love itself. And I believe love (especially self-love) is something I wanted to attract. I also have a lot of charms on it such as the money bar (for wealth), a rhino charm (for health and protection), a travel charm, mystic knot (for luck), a pair of mandarin ducks (to strengthen relationships). I have a lot more charms on it, mostly catered to what I wanna attract. They also get your birthday to make sure you get the right stones/charms on your bracelet. The bracelet is not allowed to be touched by anyone but me, and there are certain places you can’t bring it with you. I also need to have it ‘cleansed’ (there’s a ritual for it) regularly to make sure it doesn’t get tainted. (I’m part Chinese, okay)

Thank you Teesh for such a detailed and interesting response! I love how your charm bracelet uses Chinese traditions and crystals to attract luck. I am going to research more about those stones and these types of charm bracelets. You have me so intrigued!
